These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ReminderText.io ("Service," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

ReminderText.io is an SMS-based reminder service that allows you to create, schedule, and receive text message reminders at times you specify. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.

SMS Messaging Agreement

Program Description

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive automated SMS reminder messages from ReminderText at the mobile number you provide. These messages contain the reminder text you create and schedule.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your usage. You will receive one SMS for each reminder you create. There is no predetermined message schedule— you control when and how many messages you receive by creating reminders.

  • Free Plan: Up to 3 reminders per month
  • Starter Plan: Up to 50 reminders per month
  • Pro Plan: Unlimited reminders per month
  • Verification: One-time verification code per new phone number

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS charges from your mobile carrier will apply to all messages sent and received. Check with your carrier for details about your specific plan. ReminderText is not responsible for carrier charges.

How to Opt-Out (STOP)

You can cancel SMS reminders at any time by:

  • Replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL,END, or QUIT to any reminder message
  • Removing your phone number in Account Settings
  • Deleting your account

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message, and no further reminders will be sent unless you re-add your phone number.

Supported Carriers

Our service is compatible with major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Message delivery is subject to carrier network availability.

Consent Requirements

By providing your phone number and checking the consent box during sign-up, you expressly consent to receive automated SMS messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase—you can use other notification methods if you prefer not to receive SMS.

No Mobile Marketing

We do NOT send marketing messages, promotional content, or advertisements via SMS. All messages are transactional reminders that you explicitly create.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Verify phone number ownership via one-time verification code
  • Provide consent for SMS messaging

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Send reminders to phone numbers you don't own or have permission to use
  • Use the Service for spam, harassment, or illegal purposes
  • Create reminders containing offensive, threatening, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Use automated tools to create excessive reminders
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Subscription & Billing

Free Plan: Limited to 3 reminders/month, no credit card required.

Paid Plans: Billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis for service issues. No refunds for unused reminders or partial months.

Price Changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers maintain current pricing until renewal.

6. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for:

  • Failed message delivery due to carrier issues
  • Service interruptions for maintenance or updates
  • Delays caused by network connectivity problems
  • Messages delayed or lost due to timezone misconfigurations

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REMINDERTEXT.IO AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR MISSED REMINDERS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of subscription fees
  • Abuse of the Service or excessive usage beyond reasonable limits

You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information, including your phone number and reminder content.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property rights in the Service belong to ReminderText.io. You retain ownership of your reminder content but grant us a license to store and transmit it for the purpose of delivering your reminders.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
